We are a similar distance from Amsterdam at Hof van Saksen to Het Vennenbos so this is also an option.

Large lake with many available water activities. Only 10 mins from Hof van Saksen.

A city in the northern Netherlands. Its central Grote Markt square is home to the centuries-old Martinitoren clock tower. The adjoining Martinikerk is a large Gothic church with frescoes and a baroque organ. Set on a canal, the futuristic Groninger Museum showcases modern and contemporary art, plus ceramics. 

Hire a boat (or several) and go on a self guided tour of the car free villiage.

Often called the "Venice of the Netherlands" for being car-free.

We are even closer to Duinrell at Hof van Saksen, the biggest water park in the Benelux. This may be significantly quieter in September.

The 2nd biggest theme park in Europe. Short queue times and a number of unique rides.

We will be visitng Germany on our Journey home anyway but are only 45 mins from Germany at Hof van Saksen
